See one of Scotland’s most dramatic waterfalls. Really impressive waterfalls and an easy walk down from the carpark. When in full spate this waterfall is a monster and the suspension bridge across the gorge allows you an uninterrupted, up close view of it. The bridge is beautiful. From July to late September you can see the salmon leaping high out of the water in there way upstream. There are multiple walks in the area for all levels of ability. Lovely place to walk around, with beautiful scenery.
The waterfall is a good sight and the children enjoyed paddling in the rapids above the waterfall. It is a 150m walk from the car park. Beautiful views and stunning falls. At the top of the waterfalls when the water is low enough you can walk on some rocks for a nice view. Lower down there is a purpose-built wooden platform that gives the best views of the falls. Enjoy some brilliant mountain views from the path that circles back round to the car park. Easy access to the view point and well worth the effort to getting here. Free parking.

It is better to get there early in the day or late in the day to avoid the massive crowd of tourists. The pools are beautiful and the mountain valley they are set in is iconic in the world. There is also cliff jumping here if you aren’t afraid of cold water. They are awesome and you just can spend a good amount of time there. It is a short walk from the car park. The place is truly magical and enormous. Totally worth to visit, once in a lifetime opportunity to see a place like this.

An actual working barrack so you are likely to see military personnel around. Great little chapel with lots of history, at the end of Fort. Amazing museum and the views from up the walls are spectacular. Lots of videos & things of interest. The museum is packed full with interesting information and the displays are fantastic. Fascinating place, huge Georgian fort built. Very well worth a visit. It can take quite a while to walk around and see other parts so make sure you allocate at least 2-3 hours. The place is big, you can explore outside and walk on the ramparts, wander around buildings and also see inside some of the buildings.
