Brilliant museum with something for everyone. Local history and interesting changing exhibitions. The building dates back to the 13th century. Huge collection ranging from prehistoric times to last century plus a wonderful temporary exhibition of works. Very informative with lots of interesting artefacts. This is an excellent museum with first class exhibitions. The archaeology exhibition is outstanding and is worth a whole day visit to appreciate it.
