Interesting museum on local history. Excellent collection of items from prehistoric times until the modern day. Set within the old castle at the centre of town, where it has been since the 19th century. There is a lot of local information. History on The Duke of Wellington who fought in the Zulu wars. Lots of uniforms and weapons on display and up to date information of present regiments. There is also an art gallery showing works from a local artist. Good variety of displays to keep you looking for a good amount of time. Fantastic place to take the kids. The museum itself is well laid out and good for all ages. Entrance is free.
