The castle is now a historic, accredited museum and an award-winning events venue. This is a lovely place to visit having displays of Japanese Samurai Armour and associated artefacts, along with many items relating to the Jacobean era and Scottish unrest. The history of the collections and how they were acquired is really interesting. A lovely garden for picnic. If you enjoy learning about history, then this will definitely make great day out.
