Beautiful castle with beautiful scenery. The castle was built in the late 14th century-one of the oldest built in Scotland. Stunning ruins of a medieval castle with added renaissance architecture. Very quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The castle itself is open to the public from April to September. It is very impressive build, as you see when you park up and walk toward it. There's parking nearby and it's a short 5-minute walk to the castle. Beautiful surroundings for long walks.
