The history and vision of the building is amazing. Beautiful old church and cemetery. Lots of history to be learned here. A significant part of the 14th century building is still standing and well worth a visit while the surrounding area is of great historical interest with a bronze age burial site on the adjacent Hill. This was actually founded in the 1100s and it was Scottish base of operations for the order’s work, which involved sheltering and protecting pilgrims visiting the Holy Land.
