If anyone is interested in how people were living in the old days, using the peat to build and heat, it will be worth checking out. As soon as you enter the house you can smell the peat from hearth. Amazing that this sort of house has been in use for maybe 1000 years and was still occupied in the 1960's. This traditional fully furnished thatched house once sheltered a family and its animal under the same roof. Great place to visit to learn about the history of the people who lived there. An amazing and very popular tourist attraction.
