A massive stone circle.Today 36 surviving among the 60 stones. At least 13 prehistoric burial mounds. The main attraction and a wonderful, non-commercial, historically charged example of rock placements. A great experience wandering around the stones and speculating about how the stones were placed. Parking is free and situated a distance away. Stunning scenery surrounding this magnificent ancient monument. Very well-preserved large stone circle set on hillside next to freshwater loch. Beautiful and mysterious place. A piece of ancient history not to be missed.
