Description

The Standing Stones could be the oldest stone circle in the British Isles but this has not been proven for sure. There were originally twelve stones, with some standing up to six metres high, focused on a large hearth in the centre. Take the short walk to the stones and experience more than five thousand years of history. The history is very interesting. You can even see the drill holes in the stones where the landowner was going to blow them up to stop people going there for marriage ceremonies and health cures.  Amazing, explore unknown history. There is no charge and you can walk about freely.
